Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS is indeed unusual looking for a comet, says theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, who downplays theories it could be of alien origin. “This is a very old object, perhaps 7 billion years old, and in 7 billion years, there’s been plenty of time to accumulate garbage,” Kaku says.
